asmākaṃ mitrāvaruṇāvataṃ rathamādityai rudrairvasubhiḥ sacābhuvā pra yadvayo na paptanvasmanaspari śravasyavo hṛṣīvanto vanarṣadaḥ
Our friend Varuṇa‑like chariots, first for the Sun, were together with Rudras and Vasus. For when they did not find us, the worshipful, ye brave ones, rejoiced in the woodland host.
Mitra and Varuṇa, associated with the Ādityas, the Rudras and the Vasus, protect our (sacrificial) chariot, when (it goes) about (from one plural ce to another); like birds that fly down, seeking for food, rejoicing, and resting in the woods.
HELP, Varuna and Mitra, O ye Twain allied with Vasus, Rudras, and Adityas, help our car, That, as the wild birds of the forest from their home, our horses may fly forth, glad, eager for renown.
