Let not toil oppress him, nor sleep, nor let him say to you, ‘listen not’ — O Soma. He who fills my heart, who grants and gives, make him attentive with kine.
Let not Indra vexme, or weary me, or make me slothful; never may we say (to another), do not offer the Soma; (for it is Indra) who will fulfil (my wishes), who will give (me riches), who will hear (my prayers), who will reward me, presenting libations, with cattle.
Let it not vex me, tire me, make me slothful, and never let us say, Press not the Soma; For him who cares for me, gives gifts, supports me, who comes with kine to me who pour libations.
