Sāvitr, do the Rta for the god; Indra, strike, ignite the waters not pleased. Day by day the first creation came into being by the agent who separated the waters.
The waters cease not (to flow in libations) to the divine Indra, the sender of rain, the animator (of all), the slayer of Ahi; day by day proceeds the current of the waters; at what period of time was their first creation.
THE streams unceasing flow to Indra, slayer of Ahi, Savitar, God, Law's fulfiller, Day after day goes on the sheen of waters. What time hath past since they were first set flowing?
