adite mitra varuṇota mṛḷa yadvo vayaṃ cakṛmā kaccidāgaḥ urvaśyāmabhayaṃ jyotirindra mā no dīrghā abhi naśantamisrāḥ
May Mitra and Varuna with Aditi be gracious to us, whatever we have acted or done. May the light of Indra be our safeguard; may these assembled not perish utterly against us.
Aditi, Mitra, Varuṇa, have pity upon us, even though we may have committed some offence against you; may I obtain, Indra, that great light which is free from peril; let not the protracted glooms (of night) envelop us.
Aditi, Mitra, Varuna, forgive us however we have erred and sinned against you. May I obtain the broad light free from peril: O Indra, let not during darkness seize us.
