Perform the sacrifice, hero; with mind intent bring forth the auspicious thought, O Vrtrator’s slayer. Make the oblation, bestow the good portion on Brahmanaspati as we choose him.

Offer worship, O man, (to Brahmaṇaspati); proceed resolutely against those who are meditating (hostility); keep your mind firm in contending against foes; offer oblations whereby you may be prosperous; we also solicit the protection of Brahmaṇaspati.

Worship, thou hero, chase the arrogant afar: put on auspicious courage for the fight with foes. Prepare oblation so that thou mayst have success. we crave the favouring help of Brahmanaspati.
