Singers offering oblations, approaching with reverence, come to the ritual wealth; Brihaspati, spread riches like a chariot, bestowing honor as if a well-governed host.
Bṛhaspati is to be invoked in battles; he is to be approached with reverence; he who moves amidst combats, the distributor of repeated wealth; the lord Bṛhaspati has verily overturned all the assailing malignant (hosts), like chariots (overturned in battle).
The mover mid the spoil, the winner of all wealth, to be invoked in fight and reverently adored, Brhaspati hath overthrown like cars of war all wicked enemies who fain would injure us.
