We—and you, Indra—are known; we bear the burden in the host, the swift chariot’s wealth. May the wise, bright-minded men who cherish high counsel look upon you as protector of men.
We bring to you, Indra, (sacrificial) food, as one desiring food brings his wagon; regard us benevolently when glorifying you, rendering (you) illustrious by (our) praise, and soliciting such guides as you are to felicity.
As one brings forth his car when fain for combat, so bring we power to thee- regard us, Indra- Well skilled in song, thoughtful in spirit, seeking great bliss from one like thee amid the Heroes.
