Truly may she give you favour like a milker’s gift to the aged; O Indra, the right-hand generous one. May instruction from the hymn-singers and the portion of dawn grant us great wisdom and courageous counsel.
That opulent donation which proceeds, Indra, from you, assuredly bestows upon him who praises you, the boon (that he desires); grant it to us yor adorers; do not you, who are the object of adoration, disregard our prayers; so that, blessed with worthy descendants, we may glorify you in this sacrifice.
Now may that wealthy Cow of thine, O Indra, give in return a boon to him who lauds thee, Give to thy praisers: let not fortune fail us. Loud may we speak, with heroes, in assembly.
