sa sunvata indraḥ sūryamā devo riṇaṅmartyāya stavān ā yadrayiṃ guhadavadyamasmai bharadaṃśaṃ naitaśo daśasyan
He, Indra mighty, the sun-slaying god, accepted praises for mortal needs. When the cavern's iron was brought forth for him, he bore a generous share; not for the tenfold foe was he stingy.
The divine Indra, when lauded (by Etaśa), humbled the Sun (in behalf) of the mortal who offered to him the libation; for the munificent Etaśa presented him with mysterious and inestimable riches; as (a father gives) his portion (to a son).
To him who poured him gifts he gave up Surya,-Indra, the God, the Mighty, to the mortal; For Etasa with worship brought him riches that keep distress afar, as 'twere his portion.
