प्रा॒ता रथो॒ नवो॑ योजि॒ सस्नि॒श्चतु॑र्युगस्त्रिक॒शः स॒प्तर॑श्मिः । दशा॑रित्रो मनु॒ष्यः॑ स्व॒र्षाः स इ॒ष्टिभि॑र्म॒तिभी॒ रंह्यो॑ भूत्
prātā ratho navo yoji sasniścaturyugastrikaśaḥ saptaraśmiḥ daśāritro manuṣyaḥ svarṣāḥ sa iṣṭibhirmatibhī raṃhyo bhūt
At dawn he yoked a new chariot: nine-spoked, with four yoked pairs, three-lashed, seven-rayed. Mortal by tenfold forms, the man of bulls seeks his prosperous will and aims to accomplish it.
A laudable and pure sacrifice, has been instrumental tuted at dawn; having four pairs (of stones for bruising the Soma); three tones (of prayer); seven metres, and ten vessels; beneficial to man, conferring heaven, and sanctifiable with solemn rites and praises.
THE rich new car hath been equipped at morning; four yokes it hath, three whips, seven reins to guide it: Ten-sided, friendly to mankind, light-winner, that must be urged to speed with prayers and wishes.
