yo radhrasya coditā yaḥ kṛśasya yo brahmaṇo nādhamānasya kīreḥ yuktagrāvṇo yo'vitā suśipraḥ sutasomasya sa janāsa indraḥ
He who pierced the reddish, who pursued the thin, who is the mighty centre of Brahman — joined in strength, never fearful, swift, the nurturer of Soma — that Indra I know.
He, who is the encourager of the rich, and of the poor, and of the priest, who recites his praise, and is a suppliant; who, of goodly features, is the protector of him, who, with ready stones, expresses the Soma juice; he, men, is Indra.
Stirrer to action of the poor and lowly, of priest, of suppliant who sings his praises; Who, fair-faced, favours him who presses Soma with stones made ready, He, O men, is Indra.
