यो ह॒त्वाहि॒मरि॑णात्स॒प्त सिन्धू॒न्यो गा उ॒दाज॑दप॒धा व॒लस्य॑ । यो अश्म॑नोर॒न्तर॒ग्निं ज॒जान॑ सं॒वृक्स॒मत्सु॒ स ज॑नास॒ इन्द्रः॑
yo hatvāhimariṇātsapta sindhūnyo gā udājadapadhā valasya yo aśmanorantaragniṃ jajāna saṃvṛksamatsu sa janāsa indraḥ
He who slew the foes with the seven streams, who quelled the roaring flood—who knew the inner fire of stone and restrained it; he became known, the mighty Indra.
He, who having destroyed Ahi, set free the seven rivers; who recovered the cows detained by Bala; who genitive rated fire in the clouds; who is invincible in battle; he, men, is Indra.
Who slew the Dragon, freed the Seven Rivers, and drove the kine forth from the cave of Vala, Begat the fire between two stones, the spoiler in warriors' battle, He, O men, is Indra.
