O Agni, most excellent friend, may your might touch us; show forth the splendour of your forms. You are the vigorous, great-proclaiming, wide-moving praise; you are abundant wealth spreading over the earth.
When, well-cherished Agni, you are (the giver of) excellent food; in your desirable and delightful hues, beauties (abound) you (are) food; (you are) the transporter (beyond sin); you are mighty; you are wealth; you are manifold, and everhwhere diffused.
Thou, Agni, cherished well, art highest vital power; in thy delightful hue are glories visible. Thou art the lofty might that furthers each design: thou art wealth manifold, diffused on every side.
