Your splendour rains forth like lightning and varied like the dawn; no banners compare with the dawns. Herbs were created by your plants, the forests around and food for mankind by your own will.
Your glories, Agni, like the lightnings of the rain-cloud are manifested many-tinted, like themanifestations of the dawn, when quitting the plural nts and the forests, you gather on all sides food for your mouth.
Thy glories are, as lightnings from the rainy cloud, marked, many-hued, like heralds of the Dawns' approach, When, loosed to wander over plants and forest trees, thou crammest by thyself thy food into thy mouth.
