Poured by the gods with devotional rites, they praised the venerable, mighty Agni with sacred oblations. By his radiant light he revealed earth and heaven, and he traversed the mid-air with moving splendour.
Sent by adorable gods I praise the undecaying and mighty Agni, who by his radiance has spread forththe earth and this heaven, the two worlds and the firmament.
Inspired by Gods who claim our adoration, I now will laud Eternal Lofty Agni, Him who hath spread abroad the earth with lustre, this heaven, and both the worlds, and air's mid-region.
