ayodaṃṣṭro arciṣā yātudhānānupa spṛśa jātavedaḥ samiddhaḥ ā jihvayā mūradevānrabhasva kravyādo vṛktvyapi dhatsvāsan
May the tooth of flame come with light, touching the sacrificial timber; Jātavedas kindled. O tongue, approach the gods, invoke the curving oblations, and bear also the clarified fat.
Jātavedas, who have teeth of iron, consume the Yātudhānas' flame when kindled, destroy thedestructive (spirits) with your tongue, cut up the eaters of flesh, and put them in your mouth.
O Jatavedas with the teeth of iron, enkindled with thy flame attack the demons. Seize with thy longue the foolish gods' adorers: rend, put within thy mouth the raw-flesh caters.
