nāhamindrāṇi rāraṇa sakhyurvṛṣākaperṛte yasyedamapyaṃ haviḥ priyaṃ deveṣu gacchati viśvasmādindra uttaraḥ
I am not one to offer Indra weak oblations like a friend of bulls; this very gift of sacrifice goes pleasingly to the gods — trusted by all — hail Indra, onward.
I am not happy, Indrāṇi, without my friend Vṛṣākapi; whose acceptable oblation here, purified withwater, proceeds to the gods; Indra is above all (the world).
Never, Indralni, have I joyed without my friend Vrsakapi, Whose welcome offering here, made pure with water, goeth to the Gods. Supreme is Indra over all.
