Formerly the woman entered the common household rite together; the brave wife of Indra is praised by the laws, trusted by all — hail Indra, onward.
The mother who is the instrumental tutress of the ceremony, the mother of male offspring, the wife of Indra, goes first to the united sacrifice to battle, (and) is honoured (by the praisers); Indra is above all (the world).
From olden time the matron goes to feast and general sacrifice. Mother of Heroes, Indra's Queen, the rite's ordainer is extolled. Supreme is Indra over all.
