अ॒ग्निं विश॑ ईळते॒ मानु॑षी॒र्या अ॒ग्निं मनु॑षो॒ नहु॑षो॒ वि जा॒ताः । अ॒ग्निर्गान्ध॑र्वीं प॒थ्या॑मृ॒तस्या॒ग्नेर्गव्यू॑तिर्घृ॒त आ निष॑त्ता
agniṃ viśa īḷate mānuṣīryā agniṃ manuṣo nahuṣo vi jātāḥ agnirgāndharvīṃ pathyāmṛtasyāgnergavyūtirghṛta ā niṣattā
Man-kind sings to Agni; Agni of men, born of Nahusha. Agni, Gandharva-path guide, lord of nectar; into the flock he set butter and riches.
The races who are of human birth praise (Agni, so do the men descended from king Nahuṣa; Agni,(hears) the voice which is fit for the path of sacrifice; Agni's path lies everywhere in ghī.
Races of human birth pay Agni worship, men who have sprung from Nahus' line adore him. Stablished in holy oil is Agni's pasture, on the Gandharva path of Law and Order.
