Come, we invoke the hero, the radiant, Indra among the Maruts, the bringer of bounty, not hostile. As both at once were ours by day, they were allies, may the waters' growth become abundant.
I propitiate you at the commencement of the food-possessing (dawns); you reveal Indra, the Maruts, heaven and earth; both heaven and earth being united attend on us in all the chambers of sacrifice; (may they fillus) with wealth.
I GRASP at you when power and strength begin to dawn: bedew ye, Indra and the Maruts, Heaven and Earth, That Day and Night, in every hall of sacrifice, may wait on us and bless us when they first spring forth.
