tṛṣṭāmayā prathamaṃ yātave sajūḥ susartvā rasayā śvetyā tyā tvaṃ sindho kubhayā gomatīṃ krumuṃ mehatnvā sarathaṃ yābhirīyase
First come here thirsty, O moving ones, bringing sweetness and streaming with savoury waters. O Sindhu, make Gomatī rich with currents; guide my chariot that you might bear it.
You, Sindhu, in order to reach the swift-moving Gomatī, have united, yourself first with theTṛṣṭāmā; (now be united) with the Susartu, the Rasā, the Śveti, the Kubha, and the Mehatnu, inconjunction with which streams you do advance.
First with Trstama thou art eager to flow forth, with Rasa, and Susartu, and with Svetya here, With Kubha; and with these, Sindhu and Mehatnu, thou seekest in thy course Krumu and Gomati.
