जनि॑ष्ठा उ॒ग्रः सह॑से तु॒राय॑ म॒न्द्र ओजि॑ष्ठो बहु॒लाभि॑मानः । अव॑र्ध॒न्निन्द्रं॑ म॒रुत॑श्चि॒दत्र॑ मा॒ता यद्वी॒रं द॒धन॒द्धनि॑ष्ठा
janiṣṭhā ugraḥ sahase turāya mandra ojiṣṭho bahulābhimānaḥ avardhannindraṃ marutaścidatra mātā yadvīraṃ dadhanaddhaniṣṭhā
Janistha, mighty in strength, eldest in might, Turaya, Mandra, Ojistha proud of abundance. Indra and the Maruts increased; mother here, who placed the hero, held firm devotion.
You have been born, (Indra), for strength, for slaying (enemies); powerful, adorable, most mighty,extremely proud; the Maruts animated Indra in the (Vṛtra-fight) when (his) sustaining mother sustained the hero.
THOU wast born mighty for victorious valour, exulting, strongest, full of pride and courage. There, even there, the Maruts strengthened Indra when. his most rapid Mother stirred the Hero.
