Three goddesses of the altar sat as the strong ones and made you wombs. The purified people, the sacrificers, the goddesses of butter and penances, they offered libations and sat down.
Sit down, you three goddesses, upon this broad barhis, we have spread it out for you; Iḷā, radiant(Sarasvatī) and bright-footed (bhāratī) accept our sacrifice and well-presented oblations as if they wereManu's.
On our wide grass, Three Goddesses be seated: for you have we prepared and made it pleasant. May Ila, she whose foot drops oil, the Goddess, taste, man-like, sacrifice and well-set presents.
