दी॒र्घत॑न्तुर्बृ॒हदु॑क्षा॒यम॒ग्निः स॒हस्र॑स्तरीः श॒तनी॑थ॒ ऋभ्वा॑ । द्यु॒मान्द्यु॒मत्सु॒ नृभि॑र्मृ॒ज्यमा॑नः सुमि॒त्रेषु॑ दीदयो देव॒यत्सु॑
dīrghatanturbṛhadukṣāyamagniḥ sahasrastarīḥ śatanītha ṛbhvā dyumāndyumatsu nṛbhirmṛjyamānaḥ sumitreṣu dīdayo devayatsu
Long-threaded, of wide reach, O fire, a thousandfold, a hundred-hosted band of poets. In the sky, among the firmament, men become radiant in Mitra’s seats, O god.
This Agni to whom a long series (of sacrifices has been addressed), who is bright with many rays,covering thousands (in the form of ghī), the leader of hundreds (of burnt offerings), the mighty one, brilliantamong the brilliant, (is) being glorified by the priests; shine (Agni) upon the devout Sumitras.
Deft Agni hath a lengthened thread, tall oxen, a thousand heifers, numberless devices. Decked by the men, splendid among the splendid, shine brightly forth amid devout Sumitras.
