śaśvadagnirvadhryaśvasya śatrūnnṛbhirjigāya sutasomavadbhiḥ samanaṃ cidadahaścitrabhāno'va vrādhantamabhinadvṛdhaścit
Ever-burning Agni, slayer of horses, celebrated among men, sang like a Soma-drinking charioteer; he burned the offering with manifold light and, increasing, rejoiced.
Agni by means of the priests of Vadhryaśva pouring out libations always conquers his foes; you(Agni) shining with varied splendour, have consumed the battle; (your praiser) self-fostered has destroyed hispowerful (assailant).
Vadhryasva's Agni evermore hath vanquished his foes with heroes who had pressed the Soma. Lord of bright rays, thou burntest up the battle, subduing, as our help, e'en mighty foemen.
