भ॒द्रा अ॒ग्नेर्व॑ध्र्य॒श्वस्य॑ सं॒दृशो॑ वा॒मी प्रणी॑तिः सु॒रणा॒ उपे॑तयः । यदीं॑ सुमि॒त्रा विशो॒ अग्र॑ इ॒न्धते॑ घृ॒तेनाहु॑तो जरते॒ दवि॑द्युतत्
bhadrā agnervadhryaśvasya saṃdṛśo vāmī praṇītiḥ suraṇā upetayaḥ yadīṃ sumitrā viśo agra indhate ghṛtenāhuto jarate davidyutat
May Agni, auspicious, who is like a welcome horse, be propitiated; the worship and sweet offerings are placed. If friendly Mitra lights the front with ghee, the aged lamp blazes like a radiant jewel.
May Agni's regards be benevolent to Vadhryaśva; may his guidance be auspicious, his approaches(to the sacrifice) favourable; when the Sumitra people first kindled Agni, then fed with butter and brilliantly blazinghe is glorified.
Auspicious is the aspect of Vadhryasva's fire good is its guidance, pleasant are its visitings. When first the people Of Sumitra kindle it, with butter poured thercon it crackles and shines bright.
