इ॒मां धियं॑ स॒प्तशी॑र्ष्णीं पि॒ता न॑ ऋ॒तप्र॑जातां बृह॒तीम॑विन्दत् । तु॒रीयं॑ स्विज्जनयद्वि॒श्वज॑न्यो॒ऽयास्य॑ उ॒क्थमिन्द्रा॑य॒ शंस॑न्
imāṃ dhiyaṃ saptaśīrṣṇīṃ pitā na ṛtaprajātāṃ bṛhatīmavindat turīyaṃ svijjanayadviśvajanyo'yāsya ukthamindrāya śaṃsan
This wisdom, the seven-headed, the father who upheld cosmic order and made the mighty spread, brought forth a fourth, generating all peoples; singing praises to Indra he inspired the hymn.
This great seven-headed ceremony, born of truth our father (Aṅgirasa) discovered; Ayāsya, thefrined of all races, engendered the fourth (genitive ration), reciting a hymn to Indra.
THIS holy hymn, sublime and sevenheaded, sprung from eternal Law, our sire discovered. Ayasya, friend of all men, hath engendered the fourth hymn as he sang his laud to Indra.
