द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ज॑नयन्न॒भि व्र॒ताप॒ ओष॑धीर्व॒निना॑नि य॒ज्ञिया॑ । अ॒न्तरि॑क्षं॒ स्व१॒॑रा प॑प्रुरू॒तये॒ वशं॑ दे॒वास॑स्त॒न्वी॒३॒॑ नि मा॑मृजुः
dyāvāpṛthivī janayannabhi vratāpa oṣadhīrvanināni yajñiyā antarikṣaṃ sva1rā paprurūtaye vaśaṃ devāsastanvī3 ni māmṛjuḥ
Heaven and earth engendered the waters, laws, herbs, and forests, the rites of the sacrificer. They spread the midspace, the swift airs for the gods’ control; may they not confound me.
The gods engendered the heaven and earth with their respective functions, the waters, the plural nts, thesacred trees; they filled the whole firmament (with lustre) for its protection; they graced the desirable (sacrifice) intheir own person ns.
The Holy Ones engendered, for their several laws, the heavens and earth, the waters, and the plants and trees. They filled the firmament with heavenly light for help: the Gods embodied Wish and made it beautiful.
