मि॒त्राय॑ शिक्ष॒ वरु॑णाय दा॒शुषे॒ या स॒म्राजा॒ मन॑सा॒ न प्र॒युच्छ॑तः । ययो॒र्धाम॒ धर्म॑णा॒ रोच॑ते बृ॒हद्ययो॑रु॒भे रोद॑सी॒ नाध॑सी॒ वृतौ॑
mitrāya śikṣa varuṇāya dāśuṣe yā samrājā manasā na prayucchataḥ yayordhāma dharmaṇā rocate bṛhadyayorubhe rodasī nādhasī vṛtau
To Mitra, the instructor, and to Varuṇa, to the giver, the sovereign who does not deprive by mind — that which, by righteous acts, shines in both great and small, may it not deceive or wander away in their keeping.
Worship the liberal Mitra and Varuṇa, the two royal deities who are never negligent in their thoughts,whose vast body is resplendent through their functions, upon whom the two solicitous worlds (heaven and earth)remain (dependent).
Bring gifts to Mitra and to Varuna who, Lords of all, in spirit never fail the worshipper, Whose statute shines on high through everlasting Law, whose places of sure refuge are the heavens and earth.
