ए॒वा क॒विस्तु॑वी॒रवा॑ँ ऋत॒ज्ञा द्र॑विण॒स्युर्द्रवि॑णसश्चका॒नः । उ॒क्थेभि॒रत्र॑ म॒तिभि॑श्च॒ विप्रोऽपी॑पय॒द्गयो॑ दि॒व्यानि॒ जन्म॑
evā kavistuvīravām̐ ṛtajñā draviṇasyurdraviṇasaścakānaḥ ukthebhiratra matibhiśca vipro'pīpayadgayo divyāni janma
Thus the poets, courageous and knower of ṛta, dispersed the wealth and the movable goods. With hymns and thoughts the Brahmins milked forth the divine births.
The pious sage, Gaya, eloquent in laudation, conversant with sacred rites, wishing for wealth, eagerfor wealth, propitiates the celestial people with prayers and praises.
Thus hath the sage, skilled in loud singers' duties, desiring riches, yearning after treasure, Gaya, the priestly singer, with his praises and hymns contented the Celestial people.
