ते हि द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी मा॒तरा॑ म॒ही दे॒वी दे॒वाञ्जन्म॑ना य॒ज्ञिये॑ इ॒तः । उ॒भे बि॑भृत उ॒भयं॒ भरी॑मभिः पु॒रू रेतां॑सि पि॒तृभि॑श्च सिञ्चतः
te hi dyāvāpṛthivī mātarā mahī devī devāñjanmanā yajñiye itaḥ ubhe bibhṛta ubhayaṃ bharīmabhiḥ purū retāṃsi pitṛbhiśca siñcataḥ
They are indeed Heaven and Earth, the mothers, the mighty ones; the gods by birth are worthy of sacrifice from here. Both uphold and bear both, bearing forth the seed and sprinkling it upon the fathers.
They, two, the maternal heaven and earth, mighty, divine, adorable, attain to the gods upon their birth;they both cherish the two (races, human and divine) (gods), they shed abundant moisture.
The Mothers, Heaven and Earth, those mighty Goddesses, worthy of sacrifice, ecune with the race of Gods. These Two with their support uphold both Gods and men, and with the Fathers pour the copious genial stream.
