He who brought forth the cows with the Vasus’ glory, long life may Angirasa grant you; receive a human portion for great wisdom.
May length of life be yours, Aṅgirasas, our progenitors, who drove forth the wealth of cattle, and bymeans of your sacrifice when the year was ended, demolished (the asura) Bala; welcome, sages, the son ofManu.
The Fathers, who drave forth the wealth in cattle, have in the year's courses cleft Vala by Eternal Law: A lengthened life be yours, O ye Angirases. Welcome the son of Manu, ye who are most wise.
