When the black one sat among the strong kine, the two steeds, not fallen, the Ashvins were invoked leftward; my sacrifice has gone forth, my food is established, remember these gathered ones as steadfast.
When the dark night rettires before the purple oxen (of the chariot of the dawn), I invoke you,Aśvinschildren of heaven; be desirous of my sacrifice; come to my food and to my viands like (two horses) eatingtogether, oblivious of offence.
I call on you the Sons of Dyaus, the Asvins, that a dark cow to my red kine be added. Enjoy my sacrifice, come to my viands contented, not deceiving expectation. '
