अधा॒ गाव॒ उप॑मातिं क॒नाया॒ अनु॑ श्वा॒न्तस्य॒ कस्य॑ चि॒त्परे॑युः । श्रु॒धि त्वं सु॑द्रविणो न॒स्त्वं या॑ळाश्व॒घ्नस्य॑ वावृधे सू॒नृता॑भिः
adhā gāva upamātiṃ kanāyā anu śvāntasya kasya citpareyuḥ śrudhi tvaṃ sudraviṇo nastvaṃ yāḷāśvaghnasya vāvṛdhe sūnṛtābhiḥ
Below the cows gave an example: the girl followed the mare, for whose sake they strove. Hear, you of abundant wealth, you are not he who slays the swift horse; restrain the boasting tongues.
The words of the desirable (praise), of a certain tranquil person n (Nābhānediṣṭha), attain theprototype (Indra). Do you, who are the giver of wealth (Agni), hear us; offer sacrifice, you are magnified by thesincere eulogies of Aśvaghna.
Then went the milch-kine forth to please the damsel, and for the good of every man that liveth. Hear us, O wealthy Lord; begin our worship. Thou hast grown mighty through Asvaghna's virtues.
