Strengthen the cord of radiant vigor, O Bhānu-born, protect the path made by thoughts. May the waters uphold the man who will be progenitor of a divine people.
(The gods) spreading out the sacrifice, follow the illuminator of the world (the sun); protect theluminous paths (of the gods) constructed by sacred acts; may Agni render the pious works of the worshipper freefrom defect; become Manu, genitive rate the people of heaven.
Spinning the thread, follow the region's splendid light: guard thou the path ways well which wisdom hath prepared. Weave ye the knotless labour of the bards who sing: be Manu thou, and bring the Heavenly People forth.
