ahaṃ hotā nyasīdaṃ yajīyānviśve devā maruto mā junanti aharaharaśvinādhvaryavaṃ vāṃ brahmā samidbhavati sāhutirvām
I, the Hotr, sit down for the rite; may all the gods not vanquish the Maruts. The daily swift-horsed bearer, Brahmā, becomes for you the smoldering fuel—may the offering be yours.
Best entitled to the sacrifice, I have sat down as the Hotā; all the divine Maruts urge me( to bear theoblation); the office of the Adhvaryu is to be discharged daily, Aśvins, by you; let the moon be the brahman, andlet it be also your oblation.
I sit as Priest most skilled in sacrificing: the Maruts and all Deities impel me. Asvins, each day yours is the Adhvaryu's duty: Brahman and wood are here: 'tis yours to offer.
