एकः॑ समु॒द्रो ध॒रुणो॑ रयी॒णाम॒स्मद्धृ॒दो भूरि॑जन्मा॒ वि च॑ष्टे । सिष॒क्त्यूध॑र्नि॒ण्योरु॒पस्थ॒ उत्स॑स्य॒ मध्ये॒ निहि॑तं प॒दं वेः
ekaḥ samudro dharuṇo rayīṇāmasmaddhṛdo bhūrijanmā vi caṣṭe siṣaktyūdharniṇyorupastha utsasya madhye nihitaṃ padaṃ veḥ
One ocean, one earth, the riches held in my heart—many were born and I am divided. The beam laid down, placed in midstream, the step is set.
Agni, the sole capacious ocean of riches who is of many births beholds our hearts; he waits on thecloud in the neighbourhood of the hidden (firmament); go, Agni, to the appointed plural ce in the midst of the waterṣ
HE only is the Sea, holder of treasures: born many a time he views the hearts within us. He hides him in the secret couple's bosom. The Bird dwells in the middle of the fountain.
