अ॒हमिन्द्रो॒ रोधो॒ वक्षो॒ अथ॑र्वणस्त्रि॒ताय॒ गा अ॑जनय॒महे॒रधि॑ । अ॒हं दस्यु॑भ्यः॒ परि॑ नृ॒म्णमा द॑दे गो॒त्रा शिक्ष॑न्दधी॒चे मा॑त॒रिश्व॑ने
ahamindro rodho vakṣo atharvaṇastritāya gā ajanayamaheradhi ahaṃ dasyubhyaḥ pari nṛmṇamā dade gotrā śikṣandadhīce mātariśvane
I am Indra, restrainer, and Atharvan; we kindled the threefold song on the plain. Against foes I encircle men, giving clan-teaching and the sacred mother’s help to the chariot-ward.
I, Indra, amd the strtiker off of the head of the son of Atharvan, I genitive rated the waters from above thecloud for the sake of Trita. I carried off their wealth from the Dasyus; taming the clouds for Dadhyañc, the son ofMātariśvan.
I, Indra, am Atharvan's stay and firm support: I brought forth kine to Trita from the Dragon's grasp.
