asyājarāso damāmaritrā arcaddhūmāso agnayaḥ pāvakāḥ śvitīcayaḥ śvātrāso bhuraṇyavo vanarṣado vāyavo na somāḥ
From that body's streams the harnessed waters, the burning Agnis, the sacrificial fires arose; white channels, protectors, wide-voiced forest-ones, the breezes — not Soma.
The undecaying fires of the worshipper, the rescuers from the humiliated (spirits of ill), havingadorable smoke, purifying, becoming white, swift, bearing (the oblation), sitting in the wood, (are) like thefast-flowing Soma.
His are the fires, eternal, purifying, that make the houses move, whose smoke is shining, White, waxing in their strength, for ever stirring, and sitting in the wood; like winds are Somas.
