Maghavan, increasing and increasing, laid waste the herds of men with the cattle; he drove cows away with fierce juices. Whereby Indra delights in the sacrifices, he bears them with intense libations, with the sacred Soma.
Maghavat, the showerer (of benefits), encompasses all people; he contemplates the praises ofmankind; the man in whose sacrifice Śakra delights, overcomes (foes) wishing to fight by means of his pungentSoma-libations.
Maghavan came by turns to all the tribes of men: the Steer took notice of the people's songs of praise. The man in whose libations Sakra hath delight by means of potent Somas vanquisheth his foes.
