Why do the wealthy call you noble? I hear your praises; do not touch me with scorn. May Shakra bestow upon me resolute thoughts; Indra, lord of wealth, bear us to prosperity.
Why, Maghavat, do (the wise) call you the nourisher (of worshippers)? Quicken me, (Indra), withwealth, (for) I hear that you are the quickener (of the worshipper); may my understanding, Śakra, be productiveof works; grant us, Indra, a destiny that brings wealth.
Why, Maghavan, do they call thee Bounteous; Giver? Quicken me: thou, I hear, art he who quickens. Sakra, let my intelligence be active, and bring us luck that finds great wealth, O Indra.
