ब्रह्म॑ च ते जातवेदो॒ नम॑श्चे॒यं च॒ गीः सद॒मिद्वर्ध॑नी भूत् । रक्षा॑ णो अग्ने॒ तन॑यानि तो॒का रक्षो॒त न॑स्त॒न्वो॒३॒॑ अप्र॑युच्छन्
brahma ca te jātavedo namaśceyaṃ ca gīḥ sadamidvardhanī bhūt rakṣā ṇo agne tanayāni tokā rakṣota nastanvo3 aprayucchan
Brahman Jātavedas and I bow to you; this song increases the true self. Protect for us, Agni, the children and offspring, protect our trunks so they may not be cut off.
May this oblation, Jātavedas, this reverence, this praise, ever magnify you. Protect, Agni, our sons,our grandsons, and diligently defend our person ns.
Homage and prayer are thine, O Jatavedas, and this my song shall evermore exalt thee. Agni, protect our children and descendants, and guard with ever-watcliful care our bodies.
