By whom the Sun with radiant light dispels darkness, that same Bhanū (Sun) uplifted the world; by him all our realms attained rest, as if vanquishing evil dreams.
With that light, Sūrya, with which you disperse the darkness, and with that radiance with which youquicken every moving thing, remove from us all famine, neglect of oblations, sickness and evil dreams.
O Surya, with the light whereby thou scatterest gloom, and with thy ray impellest every moving thing, Keep far from us all feeble, worthless sacrifice, and drive away disease and every evil dream.
