नमो॑ मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ चक्ष॑से म॒हो दे॒वाय॒ तदृ॒तं स॑पर्यत । दू॒रे॒दृशे॑ दे॒वजा॑ताय के॒तवे॑ दि॒वस्पु॒त्राय॒ सूर्या॑य शंसत
namo mitrasya varuṇasya cakṣase maho devāya tadṛtaṃ saparyata dūredṛśe devajātāya ketave divasputrāya sūryāya śaṃsata
Salutations to Mitra and Varuṇa, to the great god; thus in order. Far-seen, born of the gods, famed among aerial clans, praising the Sun, the son of heaven.
(Having offered) adoration to Sūrya, the beholder of Mitra and Varuṇa, the mighty, the divine, thefar-seer, the god-born, the manifester (of all things), the son of heaven; celebrate the rite enjoined by him, andsing his praise.
Do homage unto Varuna's and Mitra's Eye: offer this solemn worship to the Mighty God, Who seeth far away, the Ensign, born of Gods. Sing praises unto Surya, to the Son of Dyaus.
