divaspṛthivyorava ā vṛṇīmahe mātṝnsindhūnparvatāñcharyaṇāvataḥ anāgāstvaṃ sūryamuṣāsamīmahe bhadraṃ somaḥ suvāno adyā kṛṇotu naḥ
We choose space between heaven and earth; mothers, rivers, mountains, and marshes on either side. O brilliant sun, may you grant us favor today; Soma, beneficent one, make auspicious for us.
We solicit the protection of heaven and earth; (we solicit) the maternal rivers, the mountains with theirlakes, the sun and the dawn, for freedom from sin; may the Soma that is now effused secure to us today goodfortune.
Yea, for ourselves we claim the grace of Heaven and Earth, of Saryanavan, of the Hills and Mother Streams. For innocence we pray to Surya and to Dawn. So may the flowing Soma bring us bliss to-day.
