न मा॑ मिमेथ॒ न जि॑हीळ ए॒षा शि॒वा सखि॑भ्य उ॒त मह्य॑मासीत् । अ॒क्षस्या॒हमे॑कप॒रस्य॑ हे॒तोरनु॑व्रता॒मप॑ जा॒याम॑रोधम्
na mā mimetha na jihīḷa eṣā śivā sakhibhya uta mahyamāsīt akṣasyāhamekaparasya hetoranuvratāmapa jāyāmarodham
Do not diminish these nor mock them; this auspicious friend was also mine. I declared the glory of one lord for the sake of the protector's vow and the overcoming of opposition.
This (my wife) has not been angry (with me), nor was she overcome with sham; kind was she to meand to my friends; yet for the sake of one or other die, I have deserted this affectionate spouse.
She never vexed me nor was angry with me, but to my friends and me was ever gracious. For the die's sake, whose single point is final, mine own devoted wife I alienated.
