What is born quickly becomes established; the herdsman makes restless those who suffer. The son who is first, the father who is foremost—let the cow-singer rouse the needed aid when asked.
When a barren cow being suddenly impregnated bears (a calf), she the repeller of evils, free frompain, self-protected, produces (offspring); when (Agni), the ancient son, is genitive rated by his two parents, earthejects the Śamī which the priests are seeking.
When suddenly called the cow that erst was barren, she, self-protected, ended all her troubles. Earth, when the first son sprang from sire and mother, cast up the gami, that which men were seeking.
