अ॒स्य यामा॑सो बृह॒तो न व॒ग्नूनिन्धा॑ना अ॒ग्नेः सख्युः॑ शि॒वस्य॑ । ईड्य॑स्य॒ वृष्णो॑ बृह॒तः स्वासो॒ भामा॑सो॒ याम॑न्न॒क्तव॑श्चिकित्रे
asya yāmāso bṛhato na vagnūnindhānā agneḥ sakhyuḥ śivasya īḍyasya vṛṣṇo bṛhataḥ svāso bhāmāso yāmannaktavaścikitre
This wide‑ranged season does not blame the faults of Agni’s friends; the mighty breath of the summer of strength is invoked. The bounteous host of the Vrṣṇi, great in might, gives the breath of the season, sung in manifold ways.
The blazing flames of that mighty Agni do not (deter) his adorers; the fierce flames of the friendlyauspicious adorable (Agni), the showerer of (benefits), the vast, the strong-mouthed, are visible in the sacrifice.
His goings-forth kindle as 'twere high voices the goings of the auspicious Friend of Agni. The rays, the bright beams of the strong-jawed, mighty, adorable Steer are visible as he cometh.
