कृ॒ष्णां यदेनी॑म॒भि वर्प॑सा॒ भूज्ज॒नय॒न्योषां॑ बृह॒तः पि॒तुर्जाम् । ऊ॒र्ध्वं भा॒नुं सूर्य॑स्य स्तभा॒यन्दि॒वो वसु॑भिरर॒तिर्वि भा॑ति
kṛṣṇāṃ yadenīmabhi varpasā bhūjjanayanyoṣāṃ bṛhataḥ piturjām ūrdhvaṃ bhānuṃ sūryasya stabhāyandivo vasubhiraratirvi bhāti
When they fashioned the black one with streams of oil, the great father nourished his offspring. Upward shone the sun’s light; the heaven rejoices with riches and they gave splendour.
When he has overcome the dark departing (night) by his radiance, then, begetting the damsel, thedaughter of the great father, he shines in his course with the treasures of heaven, establishing above the light ofthe sun.
Having o'ercome the glimmering Black with beauty, and bringing forth the dame the Great Sire's Daughter, Holding aloft the radiant light of Surya, as messenger of heaven he shines with treasures.
