Behold, O king, the furious delight blazing, terrible and fit for sacrifice; I saw the fine, slender one. Radiant with its spreading splendour, it struck down the resounding cry.
Royal Agni, (you are) the lord (of all). He who is the conveyer of the oblation, the radiant, theformidable, the recipient of the Soma, is manifested for the benefaction (of the worshipper); all-knowing, heshines forth with great lustre; he proceeds, scattering the glimmering darkness.
O KING, the potent and terrific envoy, kindled for strength, is manifest in beauty. He shines, all-knowing, with his lotty splendour: chasing black Night he comes with white-rayed Morning.
